JAPAN VISA REQUIREMENTS

For Tourist or Business

Travbest Travel & Tours Co. is an accredited travel agency and tour operator by Department of Tourism and Tourism Promotion Board. We are offering assistance for visa application for Filipino tourists who wish to visit Japan for all-inclusive price of Php 1,000 per head (subject to change).

Documents Required for Tourist Visa  

All documents must be original unless otherwise stated

Size of document for application should be A4 size only. If document is other size, please submit copy that is already adjusted in A4 size from its original and without staples or pasting pages.

1. Philippine Passport: Broken passport is not accepted. Passports must be signed and must have at least two (2) blank visa pages.

2. Visa application Form: available at the Embassy website, at the entrance of the Embassy or at any accredited travel agencies.

  • Application form should be filled out all items correctly, if item is not applicable, please fill in [N/A].
  • Embassy may not accept application with blank item, no signature or no date in the form, or with erasures; may deny the application that is filled out incorrectly or wrong information.

3. Photo: Specs: 45mm long x 35mm wide, with white background.

  • Photo must be taken within 6 months. No eyeglasses
  • Please write the applicant’s name and birthdate on the back side of the photo.
  • Photo must be pasted on the application form.

4. Birth Certificate (issued by PSA within 1 year)-if there is a used Japanese visa on your passport, the following (4) and (5) are unnecessary. Except for those applicants who will be guaranteed by family members. The actual passport with used Japan Visa MUST be submitted during the application.

[ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS]

  • If the birth certificate from Philippine Statistics Office (PSA) is unreadable, or has incomplete Information, submit the birth certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar.
  • If the birth certificate is LATE REGISTRATION”, submit a baptismal certificate and school record (Form 137)
  • If there is no record in PSA, submit Birth Certificate issued by Local Civil Registrar and a Negative Certificate issued by PSA

5. Marriage Certificate (issued by PSA within 1 year. For the married only)

[ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS]

  • If the certificate is unreadable, submit a Marriage Certificate issued by Local Civil Registrar.
  • If there is no record of marriage in the PSA, submit a Marriage certificate issued by Local Civil Registrar and Negative Certificate issued by PSA.

6. Itinerary or Daily Schedule in Japan (TAIZAI YOTEIHYO)

7. Authorization letter from applicant/s - if documents are submitted by an authorized representative (ex. relative, employee).

8. Personal Bank Certificate – original (if an account is in the Phils.) or latest 3 mos. Statement of Account (if overseas account).

9. Applicant's Income Tax Return (Form 2316 or Form 1701) clear Photocopy (latest) - It must have amount of gross income and a stamp of recipient (BIR)

[If Guarantor who lives in the Philippines or outside the country will shoulder part or all of the applicant's travel expenses (either Filipino or Foreign passport holder]

11. Proof of relationship between applicant and guaranator is/are required even if the applicant has previous Japan visa.

12. Guarantor's Personal Bank Certificate- original (please refer to #8 for details)

13. Guarantor's Income Tax Return- please refer to #9 for details.

14. Foreign residents with long-term or permanent status in the Philippines applying for a visa must submit in addition to the above

MULTIPLE ENTRY TOURIST VISA  

Eligible Applicants (all of the following conditions must be applicable)

  • Philippine national holding a Machine-Readable Passport (MRP) or ordinary IC passport that meets ICAO standards.
  • Applicants who intend to engage in activities corresponding to those permitted for "Temporary Visitors".
  • Applicants who wish to apply for a multiple-entry visa for short-term stay.

Conditions for Issuance (should be any of the following)

  • Applicant with history of travel as temporary visitor to Japan in the last three (3) years; has no known violation of domestic laws of Japan nor had problem with immigration regarding entry and status during the period of stay; and has sufficient financial capacity to support expenses for travel and stay.
  • Applicant with history of travel as temporary visitor to Japan in the last three (3) years; has no known violation of domestic laws of Japan nor had problem with immigration regarding entry and status during the period of stay; and has several history of travel as temporary visitor to G7 countries (excluding Japan) in the last three (3) years.
  • Applicant with abundant financial capacity.
  • Spouse of child of (3) above.

[COMMON REQUIREMENTS]:

  1. Explanation letter for requesting multiple-entry visa (by applicant)
  2. Philippine Passport (ICAO standard MRP or IC ordinary passport)
  3. Visa Application Form
  4. Photo: 45mm long x 35mm wide, with white background. No eyeglasses. Must be taken within 6 months. Please write applicant's name and birthdate on back side of the photo and must be pasted on the application form.
  5. Schedule of Stay 

[SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS]

*Applicants who fall under 2 (1) above (with travel history as temporary visitor to Japan and has sufficient financial capacity*

6. Proof of travel to Japan in the last three (3) years.

7. Latest Income Tax Return of Applicant (clear photocopy)

8. Proof of Financial Capacity

*Applicants who fall under 2 (2) above (with travel history as temporary visitor to Japan and has travelled several times as temporary visitor to G7 countries excluding Japan*

9. Proof of Travel to Japan it the last three (3) years

10. Proof of several travel as temporary visitor to G7 countries excluding Japan in the last three (3) years.

*Applicants who fall under 2 (3) above (with sufficient financial capacity)

11. Birth Certificate issued by PSA (note 1)

12. Marriage Certificates (Note 2)

13. Latest Income Tax Return of applicant (clear photocopy)

14. Proof of abundant Financial Capacity- (applicant's bank deposit balance certificate or dividend certificate of stock etc. as proof of abundant economic status)

*[Applicants who fall under 2 (4) above (spouse or child 2 (3)] .*

15. Latest Income Tax Return of Guarantor

16. Guarantor's Proof of abundant Financial Capacity

17. Birth Certificates (note 1) and/or Marriage Certificates (note 2)

 

NOTE 1: Birth Certificate

If the birth certificate from the Philippine Statistics Office (PSA) is unreadable, or has incomplete information

  • Please submit the birth certificate issued by PSA together with a birth certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar.

If the birth certificate is "late registration"

  • Please submit in addition, a baptismal certificate and school record (Form 137) from highschool or elementary and School Yearbook (if possible).

If there is no record in PSA

  • Please submit a "Certificate of Non-Record" from PSA together with a birth certificate from the Local Civil Registrar.
  • Birth Certificates must be issued within one (1) year from PSA Main Office/Serbilis Outlet Center (Nationwide)

NOTE 2: Marriage Certificate

  • Marriage Certificate must be issued within one (1) year from PSA Main Office/Serbilis Outlet Center (Nationwide)

Visa for Business, Conference and Cultural Exchange, etc.

 

THE PURPOSE OF GOING TO JAPAN IS AS FOLLOWS: 

  • Visit Japan for a business meeting, advertising, after-sales service, market research, training, etc.
  • If practical training is planned a "Certificate of Eligibility" is required regardless of the length of stay.
  • Attend an international conference, seminar or cultural exchange program, etc.

4. Employment Certificate / Certificate of Membership - If applicant is self-employed, submit a Certificate of Business Registration.

5. Travel Order / Dispatch Letter - it must be with signature and contact number of the employer.

6. Bank Certificate

7. Photocopy of the Income Tax Return (example: BIR Form 2316)

[Inviter's Requirements]

9. Itinerary in Japan

9. Business Registration/TOKIBO-TOHON, COMPANY BROCHURE, PAMPHLET OR DETAILS OF COMPANY/ORGANIZATION (must be issued within 3 months), Copy of the latest Quarterly Report (SHIKIHO)

Note;

  • If inviter is a listed company on a stock exchange, a photocopy of the latest Quarterly Report (Shiki-Ho) can be alternative.
  • If inviter is a person (not company or organization), submit his/her Employment Certificate or Business License.

Proof of activities in Japan (Contract, Transaction details, Conference Materials, etc.)

*If applicant's purpose is training, please submit the following documents that indicates the content of the training.*

  1. Training acceptance agreement from the receiving company / organization
  2. Detailed program of activities from the receiving company / organization [Training necessity, method and content of the training, Training location, schedule, period of training, person-in-charge, language to be used]

[If counterpart in Japan will shoulder any/part of applicant's travel expenses]

11. Foreign residents with long-term or permanent status in the Philippines applying for a visa must submit in addition to the above requiremetns (except birth and marriage certificates), a copy of their Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) issude by the Phillipine government.

 

 

NOTE:

  • Submission of requirements does not guarantee issuance of visa.
  • Documents submitted for application will not be returned.
  • Please expect that there might be delays in processing of visa.
  • The applicant is hereby informed that submitting the above-mentioned documents does not guarantee automatic issuance of a visa.
  • All rates, fees, requirements and processing are subject to change without prior notice and non-refundable.
  • Applicant is responsible in obtaining the complete requirements including the filling-in of forms. Please make sure that your documents are complete for our checking and submission.
  • Courier fee for sending travel documents to/from our office in Taguig City is at guest account.
