How Much? Where to Pay? Can I Refund?

The travel tax is a levy imposed by the Philippine government on individuals who are leaving the country irrespective of the place where the air ticket is issued and the form or place of payment, as provided for by Presidential Decree (PD) 1183, as amended.

HOW MUCH IS THE TRAVEL TAX?

Taxable individuals may be charged the full travel tax, the standard reduced travel tax and the privileged reduced travel tax:

 

HOW TO PAY?

Proceed to the TIEZA counters just beside the check-in desks. This is where you pay travel tax amounting to PHP 1,620. You will have to show your passport and ticket to the officer. Keep the receipt as you will need this later on during check-in counter and prior entering the immigration section.

You also have the option to pay online. Conveniently pay your travel tax through our new Online Travel Tax Services System OTTSS OR VISIT traveltax.tieza.gov.ph.

FLIGHT IS CANCELLED? UNABLE TO FLY? HOW TO REFUND?

Refunds can be claimed within two years from your payment date. Included are the requirements for getting a refund. Check which one applies to you:

UNUSUED TICKET | NON-IMMIGRANT FOREIGN PASSPORT HOLDERS STAYING LESS THAN A YEAR | DOWNGRADED TICKET | DOUBLE PAY

In all cases, passenger is required to present original passport and submit accomplished SDR form and original TIEZA official receipts (passenger and airline copies).
